Fast horses, well-heeled guests, Aston Martin speedsters and lots of passion: For the second time, Helena Schoeller and her husband Juan Martin Sarli have organized their Polo Club Le Tarde Polo in Thann near Holzkirchen.
At the event on June 25th and 26th, 2022, they also presented their happiness to the prominent guests: their little daughter Ludovica (3 months).
The sun shines from the white-blue sky and little Ludovica squints under her sun hat.
She is only three months old and already at the polo tournament – not only that: the little lady has even sat on a polo horse.
She didn't look particularly enthusiastic, says Mama Helena Schoeller and laughs.
But with these parents, it won't be long before baby Ludovica becomes an ardent equestrian fan too.
She was still in Mama's tummy when she and her husband Juan Martin Sali started preparing for the Aston Martin Polo Cup on the polo field in Thann near Holzkirchen last fall.
The two newlyweds from Argentina had 20 polo ponies flown in to Bavaria in order to spread enthusiasm for polo in this country.
The little heir and heir Ludovica was there right from the start, who delighted the guests at the weekend and almost managed to steal the show from the elegant polo ponies.
Papa Juan Martin Sali is a veterinarian and has been running the family polo club in Argentina for 16 years.
It didn't detract from the fact that some of the 300 guests didn't exactly understand the rules of the polo game.

Doesn't matter!
How intense things can get was shown right at the beginning when a spectator got hit in the face with a polo ball.
She was lucky in misfortune and suffered only a laceration.
"What bad luck, something like this usually never happens," said Georg Prinz zu Bentheim-Steinfurt, regretting the accident.
The investment advisor, who runs his Swiss company from Tegernsee, used to play polo himself for ten years: "Once you've tasted blood, the sport is worse than alcoholism," he admitted.
His wife Madeleine Princess of Bentheim-Steinfurt didn't understand at all why, 15 years ago, when he finally put the polo club in the corner, he didn't want to set foot on a polo field anymore: "She wanted to meet friends here, but I couldn't imagine just watching from the edge,” he said.

Stephanie Gräfin von Pfuel, who came on Saturday shortly before the end of the last game, also loves riding.
At 4 p.m. she was still sitting on her own horse at her castle in Tüssling, then she scooted in the car to the polo tournament, where her son Alexander Graf von Pfuel was already waiting for her – accompanied by the beautiful Marie Countess von Loesch, who, as he emphasized, just a good friend - at least so far.
Also among the guests: Veronica and Alessandro Etro, owners of the fashion brand of the same name.
They came from Milan with their sons Filippo (17) and Lorenzo (13) because the older son wants to study mechanical engineering in Munich.
Also there: Sunnyi and Florian Randlkofer (Dallmayr).
