Qatar announced Thursday, June 30 the granting of aid of 60 million dollars to the Lebanese army, as part of its support for the country devastated by an unprecedented economic crisis.

The Gulf country will grant "

", announced the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a press release, while the head of Qatari diplomacy, Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdel Rahman Al Thani is currently visiting Beirut.

This announcement is part of Qatar's ongoing support for the Lebanese Republic,
" the ministry added in its statement.
