The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it had tested one of the most famous and modified rescue submarines, the 36S submarine.
Russia Today channel quoted the Russian Ministry of Defense as saying: The famous submarine 36S has undergone modifications and modernization of equipment to increase its capabilities to provide assistance to damaged submarines in emergency situations by providing it with completely new radio equipment, advanced navigation and positioning systems, and parts of its hull have been tested to ensure its ability To withstand the pressures when diving to a depth of 1000 underwater.
The ministry added: During the tests that the submarine will undergo, the mechanism of operation of the new equipment will be verified and its ability to move and maneuver above and below the surface of the water will be carried out, as well as preparation and training for the crew who will work on board the rescue submarine.
Russia developed the 36S submarine in a ship and submarine factory in Nizhny Novgorod and began using it in the Navy since 1994, and since then it has participated in many ship and submarine rescue operations.
