A serious traffic accident has occurred near Burgau.
When turning, a senior citizen overlooked the car of a 46-year-old who could no longer brake.
Burgau - Fatal traffic accident in western Bavaria: On Wednesday, June 29, an 87-year-old lady drove east on the access road to the Grünguthof Nußlacherhof.
When turning onto state road 2024 near Unterknöringen, a district of Burgau in the Günzburg district, there was a collision with the car of a 46-year-old.

According to the police report, the 87-year-old wanted to turn onto State Road 2024, coming from the access road.
Here she overlooked the approaching car of a 46-year-old who came from the left.
According to the police press release, the 46-year-old could no longer react and crashed into the driver's side of the elderly woman's car almost without braking.
As a result of the impact, the elderly lady was trapped in her car and had to be freed by the fire brigade, which was immediately alerted.
Despite the rescue measures immediately initiated by the emergency doctor and rescue service, the life of the pensioner could not be saved.

Bavaria: Elderly woman dies after an accident – 44 emergency services on site
The 87-year-old woman died at the scene of the accident.
The 46-year-old woman sustained moderate injuries and was taken to the Günzburg hospital.
The use of the accident was great: A rescue helicopter landed at the accident site, in addition to rescue services and police patrols, according to the officials, 44 emergency services from the Burgau, Oberknöringen and Unterknöringen fire brigades were on site to secure the area.
A total loss of 25,000 euros arose on both accident cars.
The accident site was completely closed for about 2.5 hours.
