The hype that was here until about two years ago around the theme of cocktails was insane.
Mixology schools (yes, even a new and upgraded name gave the bartender - a mixologist!) Flourished, every neighborhood restaurant or cafe offered a "cocktail menu", and an entire festival dedicated to the field took place on the waterfront of Herzliya.
But then, like any new trend, this wave subsided, even if not completely gone.
True, the Corona also contributed quite a bit to the decline when it forced us all to give up leaving the house.
Still, the plague is already pretty much behind us and summer is still ahead of us, and this cocktail trend has established itself on the menu as something more mainstream.
So you should, and certainly can, enjoy some mixed, sage and enjoyable summer drink, because between us - how much you can drink whiskey or cognac in the hot season, and white wine is a spin but sometimes feels a little unexciting.
So we rolled up our sleeves and put together some refreshing and original suggestions for summer cocktails that you can make yourself, pamper friends and family at home, on the beach or by the pool.
Happy and the Beach!
Take for example Corey Lois, who has been living in the alcohol business for six years.
She manages Imperial's La Utra, a Caribbean-Mexican cocktail bar in Tel Aviv, and even won first place in the final of the "World Class Israel 2022" competition.
With this win, she will fly during September to represent Israel in the Global Finals international competition, which will take place this year in Sydney, Australia, and will face 54 bartenders who win parallel competitions in their countries, hoping to be crowned the best bartender in the world.
We managed to snatch from her the recipe with which she won the Israeli competition, and on the way we wish her success in Sydney!
