Shock in Egypt: Media Woman Murdered by Her Husband Judge | Israel today

2022-06-30T12:21:04.123Z

The murder case of the broadcaster and presenter Sheima Jamal shocks the Egyptian street • The judge hid her wife's body after the murder • In just one week: five murders in Egypt, Jordan and the Emirates

It is doubtful that this murder case would have received so much resonance if it had not been for a famous media woman and a high-ranking judge.

The victim of the murder is the Egyptian broadcaster, Sheima Jamal.

What shocked Egyptian public opinion was the occupation of her murderous husband and high-ranking servant, the renowned judge, Ayman Hajaj, who is respected and valued in the highest circles of the political and legal system in Egypt, and also served as deputy head of the Judges' Club in Egypt.

His position is parallel to that of Vice President of the District Court of Israel.

The affair began 20 days ago with the disappearance of Sheima.

The last time she was seen was in a shopping center at a beauty salon in Giza, and since then her traces have disappeared.

Security forces began an investigation and on Tuesday found her body hidden and buried inside a farm in a villa in Giza district.

One of the witnesses said that her husband the judge shot her and then acted to obscure her face with dangerous substances and fire water, and hid her body.

Ironically, after the crime was committed, it was the judge's husband who approached the authorities and filed a complaint that his wife had disappeared.

The judge had an accomplice in the murder, and he revealed the crime following a dispute that arose between them, it was reported.

According to testimony, Sheima was the second wife of Judge Hajaj, and 8 years ago he secretly married her.

The suspicion is that the marriage thing was about to be exposed to his first wife, and that this was one of the motives for the murder.

The story of her murder created a drama on the networks.

Social activists have expressed anger and skepticism at the judges in the courts, and many have begun to mock the legal system that boasts of “justice”, accusing it of corruption.

They also demanded a re-examination of all the rulings that Judge Hajaj had received during his tenure.

Opponents of the regime and opposition figures to the Egyptian president took advantage of the affair to slam Abd al-Fatah Assisi, claiming that these were the fruits of the military regime that has ruled the country since 2014. Journalists and social media activists accused government institutions of corruption and expressed concern that the judge would be pardoned by the Egyptian president.

Protest tweets were posted under the hashtag Shayma Jamal.

"Are these our judges?"

"How is it possible that a person who has committed such a crime has managed to reach such a high status of justice and fulfill such a sensitive role?"

Tweeted one of the surfers.

"God has exposed your corruption and shamed you the judges of the coup. The judges defend Assisi and his regime, most of them get bribes, and we all end up suffering harsh sentences and executions of innocents."

Sheima is the third woman to be murdered in a week in Egypt.

Her murder came after the shock that hit the country following the stabbing massacre of student Nira Ashraf in daylight on campus for refusing an engagement proposal.

A few days later another woman was stabbed to death by her husband after discovering that the fetus she was carrying in her womb was female and not male.

It happens when Jordan has not yet recovered from last week's murder of student Iman Arshid, who was shot five times at the university where she studied just because she did not respond to the courtship of a man who sought to meet her.

A few days later, it was the young Jordanian-Palestinian, Lubna Mansour, who sought to divorce her husband, and in response he took a knife and stabbed her 15 times in the body.

Sheima broadcast on several local satellite channels in Egypt.

In one of her previous broadcasts, she brought up an item that dealt with battered women, and gave women tips on how to deal with the painful phenomenon.

"A woman who has experienced violence from her husband should flee the house immediately, and not wait for her to die."

She was unable to apply this advice in her personal life, and found her dead in tragic circumstances.
