Three days after the discovery of a truck in San Antonio with 53 dead migrants, the task of identifying the victims is moving slowly despite the anguish of families in Mexico and Central America.
There are four detainees, including the driver of the truck, who traveled 145 miles and passed Border Patrol controls without being detained.
Texas announced that it will impose its own security posts.

The alleged truck driver, Homero Zamorano, was charged with migrant smuggling resulting in death.
According to Mexican authorities, the 45-year-old man, who is from Texas, had "tried to pass himself off as one of the survivors" when police found him.
Later, two other suspects were arrested because they were linked to the address where the truck was registered.
They were arrested for firearms offenses.
Federal prosecutors announced that there is a fourth detainee: Christian Martínez, charged with conspiracy.
Investigators found him after searching Zamorano's phone and discovering that they had been communicating.

Border Patrol says it will not arrest or deport survivors

Both ICE and the Border Patrol issued a statement assuring that they will not persecute or arrest the victims of this tragedy so that they can seek the necessary help and cooperate with the investigation that is just beginning.

The official death toll from the Texas truck rose to 53 on Wednesday, as new details about who the victims are are revealed.
Although there are still 17 people to be identified, authorities said.
The task is complex because they are people of various nationalities and some of them did not carry identification, or carried one that could be false.
There are 48 migrants who died in the trailer and five in hospitals, local authorities have detailed.
It has also been confirmed that 27 of the deceased were from Mexico, seven from Guatemala and two from Honduras.
There are eleven hospitalized survivors.
Two 13-year-old boys from Guatemala were identified as among the victims, their families told Noticias Telemundo.
They were cousins and came from a small indigenous town.
They had started their route to the United States 15 days ago.
