The incoming prime minister has previously pledged to advance the outline: "Fight and fight until it passes"

Haredi youths have been documented tearing up a prayer book at the Western Wall - and blowing their noses at it.

The young people came to demonstrate against bar and bat mitzvah ceremonies held through the traditional movement in the Ezrat Yisrael compound at the Western Wall, and in protest corrupted their arrangement.

The traditional movement contacted the incoming prime minister, Yair Lapid, on Twitter and called on him to approve the outline of the Western Wall, which they said only its implementation would "put an end to this madness."

"How does the State of Israel come to terms with a situation in which arrangements are torn and stained with a runny nose?"

"Why does the Jewish state allow a reality in which people fear for their safety when they come to pray as usual, in a plaza that has been allocated for just such a prayer?" In a conversation with Walla

The outline of the Western Wall, approved by the Netanyahu government in 2016, is intended to allow equal prayer of reformers, conservatives and the group of women in the Western Wall in a separate plaza at the Western Wall, different from the well-known men's and women's plaza where the Orthodox pray.

Part of the outline also included clauses according to which the liberal currents that would pray in the plaza would run it together with the Prime Minister’s Office.

The ultra-Orthodox opposed the vote at the time, but behind the scenes they were partners in promoting the outline.

After it was revealed that the leaders of the ultra-Orthodox parties, Shas and Torah Judaism, were involved in its formulation, tremendous pressure began from the ultra-Orthodox press and extremist currents in the ultra-Orthodox sector, and a year and a half later.
