District - Margit Gottschalk's Rotary presidency recently came to an end with a much acclaimed, glamorous benefit concert in the Kulturkirche in Breitbrunn.

The native of Utting handed over her office as head of the Rotary Club Ammersee (RCA) to her successor Bernhard Kern in a festive atmosphere at the Herrschinger Seehof.

Gottschalk was lucky with the choice of the Well-Cojocaru trio.

This was proven by the thunderous applause, standing ovations and bravos that Matthias Well (violin), Maria Well (violoncello) and Vladislav Cojacaru (accordion) received from the approximately 200 visitors after their two-hour concert and the two encores.

The Munich trio gave their concert the motto "Brahm's love of Hungarian music".

Truly, it just sparkled with the joy of dancing, virtuosity and rhythm.

Some of the listeners certainly came to this evening with a little skepticism, because the instrument combination of violin, violoncello and accordion is not exactly common at classical music events.

However, the two strings had come together wonderfully with the other instrument in all the pieces.

"Yo soy Maria", a light, lively composition by Astor Piazolla, the innovator of "Tango argentino", showed where the journey at this event was going.

A performance with beautiful, pleasing melodies that got into your blood right away and you really didn't know which was better:

The Hungarian dance number 1 or number 7 or maybe the one at the end.

Everything was wonderful.

Wasn't there that damn fast piece from Romania with the title "Hora Martisorului", which German tongues can hardly pronounce, which even five-year-old Romanian children can play on the violin at dizzying speed?

An idle question.

The artists interpreted all the pieces with the same charm and empathy.

Matthias Well, the violinist who had just completed his master's degree a few weeks ago, excelled with stupendous virtuosity and unbelievable charm on his violin. To the delight of the audience, he played breathtakingly quickly in the most complicated fingering changes, as did his sister Maria, who played the typical cello melancholic singing but could also compete with the violin in the high register.

The sound of the accordion in the hands of Vladilav Cojocaru was perfectly attuned to the two strings.

Part of the proceeds benefit the construction of the homeless shelter in Herrsching.

The outgoing president was able to win over the district administrator of the district of Starnberg, Stefan Frey, as patron.

Britta Hundesrügge represented the district administrator with a greeting.
