A man from Colorado was injured Tuesday after being attacked by a bison at Yellowstone National Park, according to park officials.
This is the second incident of its kind in the park in a month.
A 34-year-old man toured Monday with his family on the promenade near the park's most famous geyser, Old Faithpool in the Upper Geyser Basin, "when Bison attacked the group," the park said.
The family did not leave, but continued to tease the male bison, who in response hit his horns at a man who was rushed to the hospital with a arm injury.
A month ago, a similar incident occurred when Bison attacked a 25-year-old woman in the park.
The park said that "bison are unpredictable and can run three times as fast as humans."
Park rules require that humans maintain a distance of about 20 feet from animals.
