Caution.
As has been the case almost continuously since the heat wave that hit the country in mid-June, the storms will strike again in the coming hours.
Thus, in its 6 a.m. bulletin published this Thursday, Météo France places 10 departments, from the Lyon region to Alsace, on orange alert for a risk of a “virulent” phenomenon which could hit these regions in the coming hours.

In detail, and while a new heat wave is expected in the coming days, the forecaster explains that this new stormy episode is developing "at the start of the afternoon in the Haute-Loire, then will rise towards the south of Alsace by affecting all the departments in orange vigilance".

These storms may be violent, accompanied by hail and strong gusts of wind, but especially by very high intensities of precipitation.
"Intensities of the order of 30 to 40 mm/h are possible", explains Météo France.
And to specify that the stormy activity will gradually diminish by the east in the evening.
