Hotels, museums, restaurants, plane tickets, tolls... 200,000 tourism and transport professionals in France accept holiday vouchers.

For forty years, the holiday voucher has enabled workers to finance their leisure expenses with tourism professionals in France.

Nights at the hotel, admission to the museum, transport tickets, toll tickets...

Le Figaro

takes stock of what it is possible to afford with holiday vouchers.

What brands take holiday vouchers?

Each year, 4.5 million employees and civil servants take advantage of this method of payment governed by the National Holiday Checks Agency (ANCV).

Businesses and public services can offer these checks to their employees, but are not required to do so.

Financed either entirely by the employer, or jointly by the employee and the employer, it comes in two forms: paper checks worth 10 euros, 20 euros, 25 euros or 50 euros, or the dematerialized via the ANCV Chèque-Vacances application.

Holiday vouchers remain valid for two years after their date of issue and are nominative.

200,000 tourist establishments in France accept holiday vouchers, in mainland France and overseas.

These are places of accommodation (hotels, lodges, holiday villages), museums, monuments, amusement parks or even restaurants.

In ski resorts, some winter sports equipment rental companies also accept them, as do car rental companies and most cinemas.

For example, Disneyland Paris, Futuroscope, Gaumont cinemas, Hertz car rental agencies, the Arc de Triomphe monument in Paris or the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations ( Mucem) in Marseille are all establishments that accept holiday vouchers.

The complete list of these places is available via a search engine on the ANCV website.

Establishments that accept holiday vouchers are also recognizable by the ANCV logo, often displayed on their website or storefront.

It should be noted that only 30,000 establishments in France accept the dematerialized format, always for payments of at least 20 euros.

The list of places that accept electronic holiday vouchers is available on a dedicated page on the ANCV website.

Can the toll be paid with holiday vouchers?

It is possible to pay for passage at the motorway toll with a holiday voucher.

However, you must first credit the sum of your check to an online account, called “

Libert-T Vacances

”.

This requires creating an account with one of the four motorway companies.

You must then indicate online the amount to be credited, the holiday voucher number and the beneficiary's postal address.

An electronic toll badge credited with the amount indicated is then sent to the residence of the beneficiary of the holiday voucher, ready for use.

Since 2013, it is no longer possible to use holiday vouchers directly at the toll gates.
