Who will be Bavaria's new Goaßmaß queen?
Applications are running – freestyle at the folk festival

At the Gäuboden folk festival in Straubing, Bavaria's new Goaßmaß queen is chosen.
You can still apply until mid-July – with the right requirements.
Straubing – From the tz-Wiesn-Madl to the Bavarian beer queen: Throughout the year there are various elections for royal representatives of beer and folk festival.
However, due to the corona pandemic and the associated cancellation of the folk festivals, some of these were canceled without replacement.
With the tz-Wiesn-Madl it should be that time again this year, the Oktoberfest will take place according to the current status.
The current beer queen, on the other hand, will remain in office until 2023, this year's election was canceled due to a lack of planning security.
In 2018 there was another royal choice of beer: After the cabaret artist Thomas Mayer, known as Vogelmayer, introduced the Goaßmaß at the Straubinger Gäuboden folk festival, he then also initiated an election for the Goaßmaß Queen.
Bavaria chooses the Goaßmaß queen: Applications are running
After the Corona break, it's that time again this summer: At the Straubinger Gäubodenvolksfest in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen, the Goaßmaß Queen 2022 will be chosen from five finalists.
The final election will take place on Tuesday, August 16, in the Lechner marquee.
The Goass is a popular mixed drink that is particularly popular in Bavaria at folk festivals and football club celebrations.
It consists of half dark beer and half cola, and a shot of cherry liqueur is also added.
Goaß is usually drunk from beer mugs.

Goaßmaß-Queen: Bavarian lifestyle with humor
Of course, an accompanying song should not be missing for the election of the Goaßmaß queen.
Vogelmayer himself took care of the matter and posted "Goaßmaß at the folk festival" on Facebook:
Interested women can send an e-mail to goassmass@vogelmayer.de until July 18th
apply for the election to Goaßmaß-Queen.
According to Vogelmayer's press release, they are looking for women who embody the Bavarian attitude to life.
They should feel comfortable in traditional costume and of course like to drink Goaßmass.
Applicants should also have charisma, humor, self-confidence and a friendly personality.
Participants should be at least 18 years old.
