A tax officer is being prosecuted for embezzlement of public funds to the detriment of the Intercommunal Hospital Center of Poissy Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines), AFP learned on Thursday June 30 from the Versailles Research Section.

This 29-year-old agent is suspected of having embezzled more than 155,000 euros.
Arrested on Wednesday, he was placed on Thursday under judicial supervision with a view to a summons by report in November.
The investigation began more than a year ago, in April 2021, after the complaint by the departmental director of public finances who denounced two types of fraud to the detriment of the hospital center.
“Twenty beneficiary accounts”

On the one hand, reimbursements of hospitalization or consultation costs are made by transfers to natural persons unrelated (...) to users who are normally beneficiaries, via falsified bank identity statements
