A 48-year-old is said to have brutally attacked another man in a workers' hostel.

The process is running.

Olching – When he enters the courtroom in handcuffs, he lowers his head.

Then he slowly takes his place in the dock and looks briefly at the audience.

The 48-year-old worker from the Ivory Coast is said to have committed a terrible attack in a workers' shelter in Olching on September 24 last year.

He is said to have stabbed a Polish worker with a broken bottleneck.

The accused and the later victim each lived in a room in the Olchinger accommodation.

When the Polish workers returned from work in the early evening of September 24, the drunk 48-year-old behaved aggressively and imperiously towards them.

That's what the prosecutor said in the indictment.

Calm again?

Above all, he pursued and provoked the later victim, so that a dispute broke out.

The Pole finally left and sat in the front yard to smoke a cigarette.

He assumed that the Ivorian had calmed down again.

The defendant actually withdrew to his room for around twenty minutes.

But instead of calming down, he apparently continued to get upset.

According to the prosecution, he went into the back garden, broke a wine bottle and held the neck of the bottle with the broken glass rim in his hand.

With that, he stepped out of the front door at around 5:40 p.m.

illusion

In order to deceive the Pole and two other workers who were sitting in the front yard, he shouted "Mariusz, my friend!" (Mariusz, my friend) just before the attack.

According to the public prosecutor's office, he did this "in order to keep the victim from being suspicious and defenseless against his attack".

Then he violently stabbed him in the region of his eyes with the broken neck of the bottle in the direction of the front of his head.

Evil intention

The public prosecutor assumes that he intended to seriously injure the victim "so that he would go blind in at least one eye".

It hit him around the left eye in the area of the eyebrow, lid, base of the nose and cheek.

The victim suffered two gaping lacerations and a broken nose.

After the Pole tipped his head forward, the Ivorian stabbed him again with the broken neck of the bottle, hitting him on the back of his right head near the ear, causing another laceration.

The victim fled towards the street.

The perpetrator pursued it and wanted to strike again.

A courageous witness was able to prevent this by grabbing the pursuer's arm and putting an end to the attack.

The heavily bleeding wounds had to be treated immediately by an emergency doctor and then treated further in the Fürstenfeldbruck hospital.

According to the prosecutor, the Ivorian accepted the possible death of the Pole.

After the accused did not testify to the allegations, the crime must now be reconstructed via the witnesses.

The process is ongoing.
