BR Brettlspitzen ensure a musical and comedic eve in the Siedlerfest tent

Karlsfeld - If you closed your eyes, it sounded during the three-stage clapping as if 2000 people were in the Karlsfeld marquee.

At least that's what Roland Stetter from the Schleudergang trio said on Thursday evening, who shared their musical-comedic Bavarian attitude to life with other musicians from the Brettl-Spitzen.

In truth, the tent for the third edition of the Volkssängerrevue in Karlsfeld was about two-thirds full.

The average age was clearly quite high, which the duo Tom and Basti picked up on again and again, but you are only as old as you feel.

The audience clapped, swayed and sang along whenever possible.

Again and again the musicians encouraged the easy – or less easy – choruses to sing along.

The ten-person BR-Brettl-Spitzen team certainly made the audience laugh with their mixture of atmospheric pub songs and spicy satire.

It all started at the sound check, when Marion Schieder had to pass on a license plate number and everyone in the hall hoped that there was no parking restriction anywhere.

But: "Outside the world is ending and you left your windows open."

Tom and Basti - the "supporting pillars of the Brettl tips", as founder and presenter Jürgen Kirner said - sang about a garage party that got out of hand.

The three from the Schleudergang trio explained in their own composition how things are in "Bavarian prisons" and greeted Boris Becker.

Couplet AG sang about a worn-out member of the state parliament on an election campaign tour who actually can't do anything.

Marion Schieder sang about the "joys" of marriage, about strange quirks in people and spoke about the "dark room of men" - i.e. this black hole in the brain, in which announced appointments always disappear.

The crowd in the tent happily sang lines like "Have you already snapped today", "My man, he lives in the basement" and "What's up with us?".

The musicians kept what they promised on the posters and delivered a funny evening with hearty humor.
