PORTRAIT - Four months before the midterm elections in the United States, the Supreme Court ruling revoking the right to abortion at the federal level offers this candidate for the White House the opportunity to enter in campaign.

decision of the Supreme Court

is the fruit of forty years of struggle.

It will save lives”,

soberly commented the governor of Arkansas on NBC, with a big smile.

It is a personal victory for this member of the Republican Party who had, in the past, the opportunity to profess his

"sincere convictions"

against voluntary termination of pregnancy.

In a majority of states, this could occur up to the 20 or 24 week limit, just before the fetus was considered viable.

Going against the trend of ambient progressivism, more than a year ago, in March 2021, Arkansas had already passed a law prohibiting abortion even in the event of rape or incest.

An exception was provided for if it was

“saving the life of the mother during a medical emergency”.
