The sons of Mario Giannini, founder of Doucal's, have therefore imagined moccasins so flexible that it is easy to bend them between the thumb and index finger, like a wallet.
The secret?
It hides under the skin of the shoes, and more particularly in a very specific construction technique, developed by the Italian shoemaker and called Sacchetto.
Literal translation: the bag.
Complex, it involves sewing the upper and its lining directly to the sole.
"The lining is attached like a bag along its edge, which makes it possible to build a shoe by freeing itself from rigid components",
specifies Gianni Giannini.
