Elderly couple on the road with e-bikes: Senior falls and is fatally injured

A tragic accident happened during an excursion of an elderly couple with their e-bikes: The pensioner fell badly and later succumbed to his injuries.
Teising – Tragic accident in Teising in the district of Altötting on Wednesday, June 29th.
An elderly couple rode their e-bikes along the old railway road in Teising, a small community in eastern Bavaria.
Then there was a traffic accident in which the 80-year-old man fell badly.
He later succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
Bavaria: Pensioner dies in a serious bicycle accident
According to the police report, the cyclist who died in the accident came from the Mühldorf am Inn district.
The 80-year-old man drove along Alte Bahn Straße in Teising with his wife.
On a structurally separated cycle path, i.e. away from the road used by cars, the pensioner fell without external influences - the police speak of being solely involved in this case.
After the accident, the senior remained unconscious on the ground.
Passers-by who happened to be in the vicinity rushed to help and provided first aid until paramedics and the ambulance arrived.
The latter then took the injured husband to the nearest hospital.
The 80-year-old died there.
According to police, he succumbed to his injuries.

Fatal bike accident in Bavaria: the police are investigating
Why the pensioner fell so badly and the other circumstances of his accident are still unclear.
According to the police press release, the Altötting Police Inspectorate has now started investigating the exact cause of the accident under the direction of the Traunstein public prosecutor's office.
