Dorfen gets an XXL charging station – with eco-energy.
Dorfen - The energy group EnBW wants to launch its fifth fast charging park by September of this year - after Unterhaching, Erkheim, Erlangen and Wörth an der Donau now near the Isentalautobahn A 94 in Dorfen.
The property is being developed by the local property developer Georg Scharl.
The Baden-Württemberg group, which is one of the largest energy suppliers in Germany, announced this in a press release on Thursday.
According to the twelve so-called HPC charging points (high-power charging) are planned, each with an output of 300 kilowatts.
This means that e-cars can charge a range of up to 400 kilometers in 20 minutes.
One charge is then enough for trips to Austria, Italy or Switzerland.
"With our large fast-charging parks, we are consolidating the charging infrastructure for long-distance journeys throughout Bavaria and Germany," explains Timo Sollober from EnBW.
Scharl considers the area near the A 94 to be ideally suited: “In the immediate vicinity of the loading park there are restaurants, a bakery and a hardware store.
So while the e-car is charging, the drivers can relax and go shopping or have a coffee.”
And he announces that he will also build on the adjacent property this year: "Among other things, retail and a fast food restaurant will be built here - again with e-charging stations."
The location is partly covered with a photovoltaic system, which generates the energy to operate the charging park.
