Health center as a meeting place: New medical center in Hausham inaugurated

The practices have been open for a long time, but now the new Raiffeisenbank health center in the Oberland has also been officially inaugurated.

– The smell of grilled meat and crêpes mingled with the sounds of brass band music: Anyone who stopped by the new health center at Hausham train station on Saturday almost felt like they were at the folk festival again.

In fact, a week after the tattoo, the celebrations continued.

Not in a tent this time, but with a solid roof over your head: the Raiffeisenbank im Oberland inaugurated the new health center at the train station with an open day.

Before the visitors could look around the new rooms and taste the delicacies served by the fire brigade, Crachia and FC and SG Hausham, the ceremony for the official opening of the health center was scheduled.

Officially, because most practices and shops moved in after the building was completed in autumn 2021 after a construction period of around two years.

However, since there was no major event due to the corona virus and even the topping-out ceremony in spring 2021 fell victim to the pandemic, those responsible had postponed the celebrations until social life could restart.

Platz is to become the central meeting place in Hausham

In the future, this should also take place permanently in and around the new health center, explained Manfred Gasteiger, CEO of Raiffeisenbank im Oberland.

"The square should bring people together, invite them to linger and in the future become an oasis of relaxation and inspiration in a central location," announced Gasteiger.

The course for the redesign of the long-awaited center has thus been set.

Mayor Jens Zangenfeind, who was represented at the opening by Deputy Mayor Josef Schaftari, is happy to pick up the ball when asked by our newspaper: "With this project we have taken another step towards a real town centre," says Zangenfeind and gives an outlook on further developments.

The new station forecourt may be ready this fall, but no later than spring 2023.

A weekly market with businesses and products from the region should also form a new shopping meeting place for the local residents.

Medical competence bundled in one place

However, those responsible not only praised the outward appearance of the health center, but above all its inner workings.

As the tour of the rooms showed, a lot of medical and therapeutic competence is bundled in one place: a family doctor center with general practitioners and internists, a group gynecological practice, a practice for physical and rehabilitative medicine, the physiotherapy practice of the Holzkirchner specialist MediFit, a branch of the medical supply store Estner from the district of Rosenheim and last but not least the significantly enlarged Glück Auf Apotheke.

With a law firm, there is also a tenant outside the medical spectrum.

When asked, the mayor was delighted that so many "excellent and dedicated professionals have found a permanent home with us".

Thanks to the Raiffeisenbank, a house was built that is an "absolute gain for the supply of our population," says Zangenfeind.

Day care as a novelty

The day care in Hausham, which has also found a place in the new health center, is a novelty not only in the mining community, but also beyond.

This enables those in need of care to be looked after optimally and in a family atmosphere during the day and still be able to continue to sleep at home in their own bed in the evening.

Not only for the relatives, but also for the patients themselves a nice alternative to inpatient care in a home.

And all this under the motto: right in the middle of Hausham, right in the middle of life.

At the open day, the visitors experienced impressively what this looks like in practice.
