According to a source familiar with the matter, these people are suspected of having provided logistical and/or financial support to a French jihadist present in the Syrian-Iraqi zone.
As part of a preliminary investigation opened in March, these three people and three others were arrested Tuesday morning in Reims by the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI) and the Raid, according to the same close source.
The daily L'Union had indicated that the arrests had been carried out in the "
Red Cross
" district.
Three of these people have been released without prosecution at this stage, while the other three were referred on Friday, it was further indicated.
Thursday, the national anti-terrorism prosecutor, Jean-François Ricard, recalled on Franceinfo the persistence of the terrorist threat in France.
