The Russian Defense Ministry revealed the readiness of the Kyiv regime to carry out a provocation in the southwestern city of Odessa, accusing Russian forces of killing civilians and destroying civilian infrastructure with prohibited cluster munitions.
The Russia Today website quoted the head of the Russian National Defense Monitoring Center, Mikhail Mezintsev, as saying: In Odessa, the Kyiv regime is preparing another complex provocation to accuse Russian forces of killing civilians and destroying civilian infrastructure by using prohibited cluster munitions.
He stated that "according to the plan of the Odessa military administration, in the event of firing from the Russian side on Ukrainian gatherings, it is planned to pretend to hit a social facility, where representatives of up to 30 anti-Russian people have been prepared, who will play the role of the dead and wounded."
He added that after filming the video, all participants in the theatrical scenes will receive a reward of 500 dollars, while 100 dollars were paid to each instigator in advance, indicating that to carry out the provocation from June 26 to 28, 20 foreign correspondents and UNICEF staff were brought to Odessa.
Mizintsev warned against publishing these and other fabrications about the alleged "Russian atrocities" that Kyiv is fabricating with the support of its Western sponsors and promoting through the media.
