Severe Tropical Storm Siam is approaching Hong Kong, and the Observatory issued the No. 8 typhoon last night (1st), which is expected to remain until noon today.

The Government announced today that all community vaccination centres under the COVID-19 vaccination programme will not be open and vaccination services will be suspended as Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 has been issued.

The government said the vaccination centres will reopen and resume vaccination services three hours after the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 is lifted until the end of normal service hours.

Appointments affected by the closure of community vaccination centres will be automatically postponed, and affected persons will be notified by SMS of the new vaccination date and time.

If the affected persons have made an appointment for the first or second dose of the vaccine, and the vaccination centre resumes vaccination services later today, they can also go to the centre for vaccination during the remaining opening hours of the vaccination centre today.

The "home-to-home vaccination service" originally scheduled for today has been cancelled and the vaccination service has been postponed until July 8. The hotline center will call the affected citizens on Monday (July 4) to notify the new vaccination arrangement.
