In the heart of the state of Colorado, facing the steep slopes of the Rocky Mountains, lies arguably the biggest misunderstanding of the Donald Trump era.
Indeed, this is where the Space Operations Command is located, which American soldiers call SpOC.
It is the command center of the American armed forces for space.
Trump gave birth to this Force in June 2018. To believe that the army, the navy and the air force were not enough for him.
He needed a space army.
A Space Force.
At the time, the new troop was the subject of ridicule.
Indeed, its emblem (a spearhead surrounded by stars and a comet) is reminiscent of the insignia of the officers of the spaceship Enterprise in the science fiction television series Star Trek.
And how not to think of Mr. Spock, the Vulcan, the evocation of the abbreviation used by the American army to designate the center of command?
