Iran's permanent representative to the United Nations, Majid Takht Ravanchi, reiterated his country's position on the necessity of full and effective implementation of the nuclear agreement, and that there is no alternative to it.
IRNA quoted Takht Ravanchi as telling reporters yesterday after a regular meeting of the UN Security Council that Iran is committed to multilateral diplomacy, the result of which should be to ensure the "effective and verifiable" lifting of all illegal sanctions.. Takht Ravanchi added: “We have received strong messages supporting the revival of the nuclear agreement and its full implementation. Takht Ravanchi added, "The ball is now in the court of the United States, and it is time for it to take the political decision to abandon the failed policy of maximum pressure against Iran." He pointed out that, in the Vienna talks, Tehran demonstrated the utmost flexibility and demonstrated its goodwill to reach an acceptable agreement..
