Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, described Zweig's heroism this week: "The Samaria brigade commander was wounded, but refused to evacuate until the worshipers were completely evacuated.
He is a true hero and I salute him on behalf of all the people of Israel.
"" He refused to treat his injury and even examine it before he finished evacuating all the worshipers safely, "Dagan repeated. Two other Israelis were slightly injured in the shooting attack.
