The Robert Koch Institute for Infectious Diseases Research has announced that the death toll from monkeypox in Germany has exceeded 1,000.
In a message posted on its website, the German Institute reported that data on 1,054 cases of this virus had been received from the German federal states, but that the institute considered the level of threat to the population “still limited.”
