Last May, the young American bride decided to share on the social network TikTok behind the scenes of the preparations for this special day uniting her with her companion for thirteen years.

A catchy title, “What my wedding outfit bought in thrift stores cost me”, announces and reveals a white satin dress with a slit and a cowl neck costing less than 5 euros.

The price of the shoes follows: only 8 euros.

Jillian Lynch ends her short video with a touch of humor: "I'm pretty sure the flowers that dress my hair cost more."

And those are the perfect ingredients for a video that goes viral.

In nearly two months, it totals 800,000 views.

A second hand find

Few wedding dresses are so affordable.

The reason for this good deal: Jillian Lynch opted for the second hand.

A month before her wedding, the future bride decides to browse the thrift stores in her region in search of the perfect dress.

It is in a store called "St Vincent de Paul", in Ohio, that she finds an ideal dress for the occasion at only 4 dollars (3.80 euros).

A creation by influencer Camila Coelho called Robe Maxi Reyna which is sold new on the Revolve website for 258 euros.

Jillian Lynch then decides to go to her designer to personalize it and make it more comfortable.

The slit of her dress is adorned with a light piece of lace to make it less marked.

While the TikTok platform user asks to swap the adjustable straps of her dress for non-adjustable ones, for more support.

These adjustments add a surplus of 100 euros to the price of the dress, which is still very affordable.
