Update, June 30, 8:55 a.m .:

The road construction office responsible for the Farchanter in Weilheim is currently not assuming that Joe Biden and his 47-vehicle column are responsible for the defect when the G7 departs.

The temporal connection is "coincidence," says Christoph Pause, department head of the Weilheim State Building Authority, on Wednesday evening to the BR.

Update 6:28 p.m

.: The error has been corrected, all clear at Farchanter Tunnel.

Traffic is now running regularly and permanently through the tunnel again.

The Mayor of Farchant was able to give the all-clear in the early evening.

Nevertheless, Christian Hornsteiner (CSU) stinks about the constant burden on the village: "The traffic jams have to stop now!"

.: In the afternoon, those responsible for the state tree in Weilheim decided to put the Farchanter Tunnel back into operation at least during peak traffic times.

For this purpose, the Farchant fire brigade was put on increased alert.

The tubes are open on Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. during morning rush hour.

In the time intervals outside the designated traffic clearances, the B2 Farchant road tunnel must be closed again to rectify the fault.

The problem could not be solved so far.

The cause is technical in nature, the radio system, with which you can call the emergency number from the tunnel, is going completely crazy.

It must therefore be turned off and the tunnel completely closed.

An end to the total closure was scheduled for early Wednesday afternoon in the morning, but as of 3:30 p.m. it is still going on.

The complete closure has already triggered traffic chaos around Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Because in Biden's bypass, a jamming signal is sent for safety reasons that blocks certain frequencies, including in his limousine.

A possible explanation would be that the radio system in the tunnel was driven crazy by this interference signal.
