The war in Ukraine is indeed making headlines around the world, but on the ground it continues to take a heavy toll on both warring parties and is constantly changing.
Over the past week, the Ukrainian military has put to use for the first time a series of long-range precision weapons, led by the Hymars missile system, which has a range of almost 80 kilometers and missiles guided by a satellite navigation system.
"This is a change that is difficult to explain its meaning. Even though we only have four such systems at the moment, the change is enormous. Ammunition depots are just going up in the air, exploding. Deep down, where the Russians assumed they were safe," a Ukrainian military source told Israel Today ".
"We are finally able to hit their home front, if we can persevere and intensify these attacks, the fighting map will change completely," the source said.

The Washington Post also reported that the four systems seized by the Ukrainians switched to using the front lines and described how the Ukrainian army struggled to prevent Russian damage to the expensive systems, which had already recorded a series of service attacks on Russian military munitions, ammunition and command posts.

Russia has not yet officially responded to the change in Ukrainian military activity but has significantly stepped up missile attacks on Ukrainian cities, which claimed the lives of at least 21 people in the bombing of the city of Odessa on Friday.

The country's ruler, Alexander Lukashenko, claimed today that Ukraine had violated Belarus' sovereignty and fired missiles at its territory.
According to Lukashenko, the missiles were intercepted by Belarusian air defense systems and no damage or casualties were caused in the incident.
Lukashenko said that "we are not interested in a war with Ukraine."
Experts estimate that the remarks made by the Belarussian dictator were intended to appease his ally, Russian President Vladimir Putin, who had used Belarus' territory to invade Ukraine during February.
