Utting – Utting's mayor, Florian Hoffmann, only needed one hit to officially open the community's 900-year celebration.
Then the tap sat in the wooden barrel and the Augustiner beer could flow.
First of all, of course, only for the guests of honor such as district administrator Thomas Eichinger, the member of parliament Michael Kießling, the pastor couple Alexandra and Jochen Eberhardt as well as almost the entire municipal council.
Up to and including Monday, there will still be celebrations in the Summerpark without a police hour.
The Blasmusikfreunde Utting, led by Michael Bauer, accompanied the mini-procession of the guests of honor from the town hall to Magnus Ostenrieder's marquee.
Right from the start he had a full house after the evening was themed "boss pays".
Many Uttingen companies and associations had invited their employees and members to the community birthday party.
A highlight of the program was the unveiling of a monumental coat of arms in mosaic form.
It was created as a gift for the anniversary by the Uttingen artist and model maker Alban Bayer, known as a particularly active member of the Maibaumfreunde.
Unfortunately, due to his unexpected death, he was no longer able to hand it over in person.
His widow Herta took over, accompanied by Johann Reinhart, who used to be a member of the municipal council in Utting for many years.
The festival program can still come up with many attractive program items.
Like on Saturday at 4.30 p.m. with the water rescue team’s jousting right on the lake in front of the marquee.
The top Allgäu band The Mercuries will be playing from the evening.
On Sunday morning there is an open-air festival service at the lake, followed by a family program by the clubs.
In the evening you can dance again in the tent, this time with the Caipirinha party band.
On Monday, the district senior citizens' afternoon will take place, before cabaret artist Martina Schwarzmann will perform in the already sold-out tent as the crowning glory.
