The Chinese embassy in the United States issued a notice on the evening of July 1 saying that China has eased entry restrictions on American citizens who can apply to transit to China via another country.

The Chinese side also requires travelers to apply for a health code at the embassy in the United States before departure.

The Chinese Embassy has issued an important notice on how to apply for a health code. Passengers must undergo 2 nucleic acid tests within 48 hours before boarding, and the second test must be completed within 24 hours before boarding.

This "dual nucleic acid" test should be conducted in different testing institutions, using two different reagents, and the two sampling intervals should be more than 24 hours.

Those with new coronary pneumonia, close contacts or suspected symptoms must first take two consecutive nucleic acid tests at least 24 hours apart, and the results are negative, which is regarded as confirmed recovery.

The person must self-isolate for another 14 days, and if symptoms develop during this period, they must be tested again - if the result is negative, the 14-day isolation must be recalculated, and if the result is positive, the whole procedure can be redone only after recovery.

Those who have completed the procedure must take two more tests within 48 hours before boarding, and the result is negative, then they can apply for a health code.
