Fair in North Rhine-Westphalia: In August there are again numerous fair and folk festival dates in North Rhine-Westphalia - including in Aachen, Herne, Essen and Dortmund.

Cologne – Children strolling from stall to stall with a bag of roasted almonds, long queues at bumper cars or in front of the new high-speed carousel – scenes like these are no longer uncommon after a two-year Corona break.

In North Rhine-Westphalia, too, folk festivals are on the rise again.

In July, for example, the Rheinkirmes will take place again in Düsseldorf.

There are also some dates in August - among other things, the Cranger Kirmes in Herne, the largest folk festival in NRW, begins on August 4th, as reported by 24RHEIN.

Fair dates in NRW 2022

With over 500 showmen and over four million visitors every year, the Cranger Kirmes in Herne is the largest folk festival in North Rhine-Westphalia.

In August, directly on the Rhine-Herne Canal, numerous rides, snack bars, drink stands and games booths are lined up at the Cranger fair.

The attractions in 2022 include the roller coaster "Heidi the Coaster", the running shop "Jungle Camp" with a 232 meter long course and the largest and longest transportable roller coaster "Alpina-Bahn".
