Fischbachau – The Fischbachau municipal council has voted on the 2022 budget.
The budget is only 1,000 euros below the previous record.
With a total volume of 34.2 million euros, the Fischbachau budget for 2022 is only a good 1,000 euros below that of the record year 2020. The community wants to use this to pay off debt and save money for future tasks.
Also because the sale of the Wolfseehalle, which is expected to be forthcoming this year, appears on the income side with 3.4 million euros, but is not yet sealed, the community wants to act prudently.
The municipal councils unanimously approved the figures presented by Treasurer Veronika Rauscher in the May meeting.
"It's a solid budget that reflects all the important projects and tasks," said Mayor Stefan Deingruber, agreeing with Rauscher's presentation.
What stands out in the budget planning is that the municipality does not want to take on any new debts and repay loans until 2024.
This would reduce per capita debt from around 2,200 euros to around a quarter of that figure by the end of 2025.
In addition, around 5.5 million euros are to be saved this year.
Sale of the Wolfseehalle as a topic
In view of the upcoming projects, Rauscher said: "That doesn't mean that we can then draw on unlimited resources." Rather, the money is needed for the renovation of the school, sewage system and water supply.
Flood protection must also be taken into account.
It is scheduled to start in Hundham this year.
The new Fischbachauer fire station is also expected to be significantly more expensive than expected at an estimated 2.2 million euros.
These costs are to be spread over the next two years.
If the Wolfseehalle is sold, the community will also have to raise money to develop the area as a building area.
In summary, the head of the town hall said: "It doesn't look bad.
Now it's time to remain level-headed and not plan castles in the air."
