The Anzing-Poing beekeeping association celebrates its 125th +1 birthday with a family party.

In addition to honey, there are other activities on the program.

Poing - At 126 years old, the Anzing-Poing beekeeping association is one of the oldest associations in Poing.

On Sunday, July 3rd, the big anniversary of the 125th birthday will be made up for with a 125+1 celebration at the Vereinsbienenhaus on Kirchheimer Allee.

The site is not far from the construction site for the new roundabout and is somewhat hidden behind bushes and trees.

There's a program there on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., announces spokeswoman Christina Tarnikas.

As part of the celebrations, the club apiary, which was built about two years ago, will finally be officially opened after this was not possible due to the corona pandemic.

Just as little as the actual 125-year celebration.

The apiary has so many supporters

The apiary is still quiet.

But the party will be big.

"It is important to the association to thank all supporters for the construction of the association's apiary," writes Tarnikas in a press release.

It names: the municipality of Poing, which makes the property available to the beekeepers and has granted the building permit;

the construction depot, which prepared the site and poured the foundations;

EBV Elektronik GmbH, which supported the construction financially with a donation of 5000 euros.

The association sends further thanks to member and master carpenter Christian Schinko "for his exemplary preparation and implementation of the construction phase".

After the official part of the event, the beekeepers will present their various equipment and lots of interesting facts about hard-working bees and beekeeping on Sunday.

Numerous club members are available to answer questions about their hobby.

"There is also fun and games for the whole family and especially for the children," announces Christina Tarnikas.

In addition, coffee and cold drinks as well as a rich cake buffet.

And anyway, the association offers honey from Poing and Anzing for sale - at an anniversary price.

A small competition rounds off the entertainment offer.

No parking available

The way to the beekeeping association premises on Kirchheimer Allee is signposted.

In addition, there is a QR code on the advertising posters, under which the location of the apiary in the green corridor is displayed.

The beekeepers have one request to their guests: “All visitors should come to the festival site by bike or on foot if possible.

There are no designated parking spaces,” Tarnikas said in the press release.
