District – An organizational team from the ADFC local group Miesbach and the working region Oberland has come up with a combination of culture and cycling: The so-called culture tour will take place for the first time on Saturday, July 9th.

The organizers write that it is intended to “enliven culture, promote artists and make cycling present”.

Participants can stop at five stages in the district between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on a signposted route without registering.

When the weather is nice, Erich Kogler, Annemarie Hagn, the Obermüller-Bencic duo, Volker Camehn and the children's magician Max Balser will each perform for half an hour (from 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4.15 p.m. and 5.30 p.m.).

"Half an hour's program is played within a full hour, then there's time to cycle to the next stage," the organizers write on a flyer.

Co-organizer Birigt Hacklinger says: "We are pleased to combine cultural enjoyment and cycling and thus create an incentive for visitors to be on the move by bike." The five stages can be found at the following locations: Miesbach market square, Reisach moated castle (water protection area) , spiral battle (water protection area),

The participants will be provided with cake and drinks at most of the stations, and at some also with other offers.

The organizers advertise that the first Radl-Kultour offers “exercise and enjoyment of art in equal measure”.

Participation is free of charge, but the ADFC and Wirkstatt team ask for donations.

In their pre-advertisement, they suggest ten euros per person, five euros for children.

"More is always possible, less too."

The organizational effort for the ADFC and the workshop was immense: "The route was worked out and discussed with the support of the district office and the police over a long period of time in order to ensure a safe process." However, the two clubs also had numerous supporters during the preparation.

The town of Miesbach, the municipality of Weyarn, the Miesbacher Marktplatz initiative and the Holzolling fire brigade took part, among others.

The BRK readiness Miesbach and the Bergwacht Hausham were also involved - in addition to the financial supporters Kultur Vision, the Munich public utility company and the EU funding pot Leader, whose money was organized by the local action group (LAG).

At 4:00 p.m., Annemarie Hagn will be making a guest appearance in the Klostercafé Weyarn with the Obermüller salon music.
