Mexican actress Susana Dosamantes died this Saturday as confirmed by her daughter, singer Paulina Rubio, on her Instagram account.
"With my heart in my hand and deep pain, I want to inform you that my mother, the beautiful Susana Dosamantes, today begins a new cycle, in total peace and surrounded by her family," Rubio wrote.
"My example of life, a being of light, a strong woman, today joins eternal life," he added in the message.
At the moment the reason for his death is unknown.
In April, her son Enrique Rubio reported in a statement that Dosamantes had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and that she was being treated at Mount Sinai Hospital in the city of Miami, where she had lived for several years with her daughter and grandchildren.

Dosamantes was the protagonist of one of the most memorable soap operas on Mexican television: "Corazón Salvaje", which premiered in 1977. Televisa, the producer of this telenovela and others in which the actress participated, lamented her departure with a message on his Twitter account: "His acting legacy will always be with us. Rest in peace."
The National Association of Interpreters of Mexico also lamented the death of the television, film and theater actress: "Actress with extensive experience in Mexican television and theater. We send our condolences to her family and friends."
