"We discussed the strong relations between the two countries and the conditions for improving the general situation in the region and strengthening relations between our countries," Miqdad said during a press conference in Damascus with his Iranian counterpart, Hussein Amir Abdollahian.

Al-Miqdad added: We appreciate the support provided by Iran to our country in these difficult circumstances, explaining that the position of Syria and Iran is firm in supporting the Palestinian people until they achieve their legitimate rights, foremost of which is the establishment of their independent state.

Abdullahian affirmed that Iran will continue its support for Syria in the face of the terrorist war it is facing, and continued...
