IDF fighters try to force a Palestinian funeral procession, July 1, 2022 (Shihab News Agency)
Soldiers were documented last night (Friday) trying to force a funeral procession near Hebron.
The documentation shows that the soldiers tried to drop force on the coffin, shouted at the participants, pushed them and even aimed weapons at them and fired into the air.
Funeral attendants vehemently opposed the warriors and cursed them while chanting "Allah Akbar."
The funeral procession took place in honor of the sister of a Palestinian prisoner on Friday afternoon in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, and was scheduled to end at the town's cemetery, located near Highway 60, which connects the southern Hebron Mountains to Jerusalem.
Some of the participants in the funeral tried to get on Route 60 and enter the cemetery through it.

The IDF spokesman stated that "in the past, it was determined that funeral journeys would pass through the axis parallel to axis 60 and enter through the gate parallel to the axis.
Despite this, during the funeral a number of Palestinians deviated from the agreement and tried to reach the axis.
"The IDF forces at the scene acted unprofessionally to prevent the funeral from entering Route 60. The incident will be investigated and lessons learned."
