A shipwreck accident in the southwest waters of Hong Kong, the Government Flying Service's brave search and rescue process near the eye of typhoon "Siamba" was exposed. This morning (2nd), a construction ship broke off in two parts about 160 nautical miles (about 300 kilometers) southwest of Hong Kong , one part sank to the bottom of the sea, and the other part floated in the sea. About 30 crew members abandoned the ship and escaped. The Government Flying Service dispatched personnel to assist the mainland authorities in search and rescue. 3 crew members were rescued.

According to a clip provided by the Government Flying Service, the other unsinkable hull of the engineering ship was drifting with the waves, and huge waves continued to rise on the sea surface, swallowing the entire hull many times. Only the towering engineering steel frame was exposed on the sea surface. The crew member was trapped on the deck. A service team member assisted him in preparing to hoist the aircraft, while another member of the crew held the wire rope on the aircraft and slowly hoisted the crew member up. The huge waves galloped under the feet, and the sky was full of wind and rain. The process was frightened.

The engineering ship broke in two and floated in the huge waves.

The incident happened at 7:25 a.m. today (2nd), the Government Flying Service announced on social media that it was notified by the Hong Kong Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) that an engineering vessel occurred about 160 nautical miles (about 300 kilometers) southwest of Hong Kong. In the accident, the hull was broken in two, and about 30 crew members abandoned the ship to escape.

The marine rescue boat of the South China Sea Rescue Bureau of the Ministry of Transport of the Mainland has arrived at the scene, but because the accident site was near the eye of Typhoon Siamba, the weather was very bad, the wind speed reached 144 kilometers, the visibility was only 500 meters, and the swells reached 10 meters. Action becomes very difficult.

The flight service team dispatched a fixed-wing aircraft and two helicopters to the scene for search and rescue, and initially rescued three crew members. The remote search and rescue operation is still in progress.
