The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Muhammad Seif El-Din, issued a decision to form a national committee for occupational safety and health, which includes representatives from a number of ministries, chambers of commerce, industry, agriculture and tourism, and the General Federation of Trade Unions.
In accordance with the decision, which SANA received a copy of today, the committee identifies the risks that threaten occupational safety and health at work sites, monitors work environment factors and work practices that may affect the health of workers, including health facilities, restaurants, seminars built by employers, and develop programs to improve work environment and practices .
The committee is also working, according to the decision, to prepare research and studies to enhance the protection and preservation of the health of workers and to provide advice to them and to employers in this regard, in addition to holding training courses to enhance protection in the work environment, implementing quality programs, preparing and issuing scientific publications on protection from work hazards, and cooperating with international and Arab bodies and organizations. concerned with occupational safety and health.
