A spectacular accident occurred on Friday night in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
A polo with three men on board crashed into the Loisach.
There are scenes like something out of a disaster movie: a VW Polo breaks through the railing on the side of a bridge, falls down and ends up lying on the roof in a river 50 centimeters deep.
The whole thing is not fiction.
This serious accident actually happened on Friday night around 3 a.m. in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on the bridge on Loisachstrasse/Maximilianstrasse.

According to the police, there were three young men in the car, a 21-year-old and a 24-year-old from Baden-Württemberg and an 18-year-old from Upper Palatinate.
They were lucky in their misfortune, suffered only minor injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals by the ambulance service.
Two of the occupants had already freed themselves when emergency services arrived at the scene of the accident.
The car involved in the accident is recovered.
The inmates were obviously drunk.

The third occupant escaped to the car and was freed there by the helpers of the Garmisch fire brigade, who had arrived with a turntable ladder.
The exact cause of the accident is not yet known.
The investigation is ongoing.
It is not yet clear who was behind the wheel.

One thing is certain: the three men who were heading towards the town center had alcohol in their blood.
The values determined were between 0.7 and 1.4 per thousand.
Her VW Polo was towed away after being pulled out of the creek bed.
The amount of damage: around 20,000 euros.
Added to this is the damage to the bridge.
