A new Judaization scheme faced by the Palestinians in the occupied city of Jerusalem, where the Israeli occupation authorities announced the seizure of large areas of the lands of Silwan and the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and handing them over to settlers with the aim of bringing about demographic change and emptying the city of Palestinian presence.
The National Office for Defending Land and Resisting Settlements of the Palestine Liberation Organization stated in a report today published on its website that the occupation began implementing a Judaization scheme that was announced in 2018 to steal Palestinian lands in the Al-Thawri neighborhood in Silwan and the Umayyad palaces area south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, where it seized and began handing it over to settlers What threatens to displace hundreds of Palestinian families from their homes and change the nature of the region and its cultural and historical identity, pointing out that this crime has major repercussions because it greatly increases the risk of the occupation’s seizure of Palestinian property in Jerusalem and escalates attacks on them to change the demographic situation in the city.
