Al-Hasakah city opened today (Souk Al-Khair), which includes materials and goods at competitive prices with local markets that meet the needs of citizens before the advent of the blessed Eid Al-Adha.
The market, which opened in front of the governorate workers' union, includes foodstuffs, clothes, shoes and detergents, in addition to food supplies and Eid supplies.
And the Governor of Hasaka, Ghassan Khalil, indicated that the market secures materials and goods for citizens at competitive prices through cooperation between the Syrian Trade Foundation, charities and economic activities in the governorate, pointing out that prices will be reduced by varying rates ranging between 10 and 30 percent and in some materials up to 40 percent.
For his part, the director of the branch of the Syrian Trade Establishment Omar Hammo explained that the branch of the institution participated in the market with a variety of commodities and trade “food, clothing, shoes and Eid supplies” at reduced prices as a kind of positive intervention in the markets, especially with the approach of Eid al-Adha to reduce the material burdens on citizens.
The head of Al-Hasakah City Council, Eng. Adnan Khajo, indicated that the council is supervising the market and communicating with all economic and commercial activities to put their goods in the market to take the initiative and contribute to alleviating the material burdens on citizens, pointing out that the market will continue for a week and there will be a wide participation of economic activities during the coming period.
The Secretary of the Al-Hasakah branch of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, Eng. Turki Aziz Hassan, and the provincial police chief, Brigadier Mahmoud Junaid, participated in the opening of the market.
