Mario Escobar just wants to know the truth.
He promised her daughter Debanhi Escobar the day he went to identify her at the morgue in Nuevo León, more than two months ago.
This Friday, he accompanied the forensic services to the pantheon of the municipality of Galeana to have her exhumed again, because he hopes that a third autopsy will shed light on the mystery of her death.
"We are looking for the truth, we are trying to believe again in the Prosecutor's Office, to believe again in our authorities," he told the media near his daughter's grave.

Men and women dressed in white overalls, gloves and protective masks took the remains of the 18-year-old girl in a van from the Forensic Medical Service, in whose facilities she was received later this Friday.

Escobar was found dead in early April inside a half-empty cistern in an abandoned motel in the municipality of Escobedo, Nuevo León.
The objective of carrying out a third autopsy is
to clear up the doubts that originated from the contradictory opinions of the first and second autopsies
, which were ordered by the state authorities and the family, respectively.
Both the autopsy carried out by the Nuevo León Prosecutor's Office and the independent one determined that Escobar died of a "deep skull contusion."
But they contradicted each other in other fundamental respects.

While the first autopsy seemed to suggest that his death may have occurred by accident by inadvertently falling into a cistern with less than three feet of water (90 cm);
the second autopsy pointed to a possible murder, with several blows to the head from "different angles of impact" and "traces of a violent sexual relationship."
Another important contradiction between the two reports is that the first states that Escobar was alive when he fell into the cistern, while the second states that she was already dead.
From the beginning the investigation was riddled with irregularities.
The authorities searched for her 13 days before finding her at the motel,
where it is assumed that they had already carried out several searches without finding anything.
For the failures, two state officials were fired in May.

Mario Escobar said he trusts that the new forensic opinion will reveal the true cause of Debanhi's death, since the family does not agree with the expert opinion of the State Prosecutor's Office.
"To me, regardless of whether the federal government, the state government or the Prosecutor's Office finds the truth, what we want is the truth," insisted the young woman's father.
