The elections for the 25th Knesset will be held on November 1, the Knesset members decided after voting on the dissolution of the 24th Knesset.
The upcoming election campaign officially began immediately after the end of the Knesset's work, but it is expected to be long and will last 124 days, culminating in the days of summer vacation and holidays.
The first month may be a little calmer, and some parties will dedicate the period in favor of party organizations and primaries for the presidency or list.
The Labor Party will hold internal elections for the party leadership on July 18, and in the absence of other candidates, the victory of the current chairman Merav Michaeli is almost guaranteed. The internal elections for the party
list will probably take place in early August.
The Likud primaries have not yet been finalized, but the party is currently considering August 9 and 27 as possible dates.

The list of submissions will come later - then all the parties running in the upcoming elections will have to submit the lists of candidates to the 25th Knesset.
This is a time when new stars will join Israeli politics, discuss and close connections between parties and candidates.
On September 14 and 15, the representatives of the parties will come to the Central Election Committee in the Knesset and submit their lists.
Shortly before the election, propaganda broadcasts on television and radio will be launched.
Any party running in the election is entitled, by law, to seven minutes of screen time on television to be split between the various broadcast days, and to a quarter of an hour of radio propaganda.
Parties that served in the outgoing Knesset are entitled to additional propaganda time: according to the key, every MK who served in the past term will win his party an additional two minutes in television propaganda and four minutes in radio.
The highlight is of course November 1st.
As soon as the polls close, the Election Commission will start counting the votes, and these will flow every day, and will be officially announced no later than within seven days - they are usually published even earlier.
Following the publication of the results, a round of recommendations will begin with the President, who will later pass the mandate to form the government to the candidate with the largest number of recommenders.
He will try, within a period of about a month, with the possibility of further extension - to form a government.
