"Bruised and rolled up in a blanket": A mother from the south is suspected of abusing and assaulting her 8-year-old son

A 31-year-old resident of Kiryat Gat was arrested after shouting from her apartment was reported.

A prosecutor's statement was filed today (Sunday) against a resident of Kiryat Gat who is suspected of abusing and assaulting her eight-year-old son.

The suspect, 31, was arrested last week after reports of shouting coming from her apartment.

The suspect's son was located by the police when he suffered bruises in several areas of his body and when he was rolled up in a blanket - and it is suspected that she tried to hide from the police.

Police were called to the scene following a suspicion of a case of domestic abuse.

They found the woman drunk and next to her a baby.

Later, during a search of the home, police found the 8-year-old wrapped in a blanket on a bed.

A prosecutor's statement was filed against the mother suspected of abusing and assaulting a minor by a responsible party.

An indictment will later be filed against her.

The children were transferred to the care of welfare officials.
