Roberto Blanco has been an honorary member of the CSU since the 1980s.

Even today, the hit star has a good relationship with many party leaders.

On "Riverboat" on MDR, the interpreter of "A little fun has to be" reported again on how the great appreciation came about.

Leipzig – At the age of 85, Roberto Blanco is now one of the longest-serving hit stars in the country (all hit news at a glance) – there is always plenty to tell!

This is also the case with "Riverboat" on MDR: In the Friday evening talk, the entertainment great reviewed the moment when he was awarded honorary membership of the CSU in the 1980s.

At the time, refusing was not an option for him.

Roberto Blanco CSU honorary member since 1980 – Pop star personally ennobled by Franz Josef Strauss

For Roberto Blanco (the most successful pop singer of all time) one thing is very clear: he once came to his CSU honorary membership "like the virgin to the child", according to the 85-year-old on "Riverboat".

At that time, at a party meeting, he only sang for political figures, including the then CSU chairman Franz Josef Strauss (†), – but a legendary sentence fell with which the folk musician probably surprised everyone present.

“The hall was full when I performed.

In the middle of my songs I said I know why I was hired: We blacks, we have to stick together," recalls the "A little fun has to be" singer of the moment that hit "like a bomb". .

Franz Josef Strauss and ex-Chancellor Helmut Kohl (†), who was also present at the time, then came to him on the stage, hugged him and immediately offered him honorary membership in the state party.

Roberto Blanco did not want to reject CSU appreciation – hit star wants to “live and let live”

Roberto Blanco (the stage names of the big hit stars and their real names) naturally accepted –

because refusing that was by no means an option for him, as can still be clearly seen in his reaction today: “Should I have said no on stage?”

However, the pop singer does not openly communicate his political stance.

For him, working together according to the principle of “Live and let live” is paramount.

Another pop star also had a moment in the (late) 1980s that he will never forget: July 1st was the 33rd anniversary of Stefan Mross's Grand Prix victory - the folk musician not only thanked his fans for this , but also with his envious people.
