Sigal Shachmon joins the growing criticism of the content broadcast on Prime Time's Network 13, as part of the channel's popular flagship program, "Big Brother."
After the boycott mission (in which the house was split into less-loved and less-loved tenants), which aired only early last week and provoked much outrage on social media, came last Thursday the tenants' weekly budget mission - during which particularly jarring tones were heard that also included hurling insults.
Shachmon found it difficult to resist in the face of the sights and sounds, and criticized the network in a particularly firm and poignant way for choosing to broadcast while watching a peak of content, which she believes is harmful to young viewers and serves as a bad example.
"I don't watch a lot of TV, and today my eyes fell on this horror," Shachmon wrote in a story in a personal column on the social network Instagram, against the background of a screenshot of an excerpt from the program in question.
"Some violence, laziness, sub-level. Shame that the TV broadcasts such low content," condemned the level of discourse and style in which the occupants of the house chose to express themselves.
"I'm sad that this is what our television chooses to show our children. Why not cast people who will inspire or set an example for our children?" She wondered.
"It's just awful."
